Otonabee Conservation has issued a water safety advisory after two days of rainfall in Peterborough, Otonabee-South Monaghan, Cavan Monaghan, Selwyn, Douro-Dummer, Trent Hills and the City of Kawartha Lakes.High water flows and unsafe banks may pose a risk, the advisory states.Residents of the area are advised to stay away from waterways.About 10-1

PETERBOROUGH WATER TREATMENT PLANT ON SECONDARY BYPASS AFTER HEAVY RAINFALL

People who draw water from the Otonabee River south of Peterborough's Wastewater Treatment Plant are under a boil water warning after the plant was placed on secondary bypass mode because of heavy rainfall and snowmelt this week.

Fatal crash on Highway 35One person is dead after a two-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon on Highway 35 west of Lindsay.The crash took place at 3:36 p.m. south of Cameron.
